Share to Facebook Share to Twitter More...
Used during the War of 1812, French & Indian and Revolutionary Wars It is similar to 1763 Charleville "Fusil" or similar dated “Potsdam/Prussian” officer’s model. This style was very popular with Officers during the revolution due to its light weight and accuracy.Metal parts fit to the wood very tight and the springs work. Replaced ram rod.Overall length is 57 inches, barrel is 42 inches long, caliber appears to be .72 by micrometer.Barrel is in original configuration and not re-converted back into a flint from percussion.Being over 200 years old it has character. It is not in new condition and should not be considered a shootable firearm. It was "fixed" (cleaned metal, stock cleaned and finished, other items) by non collector. That is why is is priced in the hundreds and NOT in the thousands.OBO that is in relation to its rarity and age. $850 OBRO.
